The Explore Scientific 0510360 0.7x Reducer/Corrector is a high-quality telescope filter that reduces the focal length by a factor of 0.7x, which is particularly advantageous at f/8. This product is designed not only to shorten the focal length but also to flatten the image field for photography. Originally intended for the ED-APOs from Explore Scientific with diameters of 127 mm and 152 mm, the reducer has also proven effective in combination with other telescopes, such as the ED-APOs 102 mm and 165 mm. However, when using full-frame sensors, there may be slight limitations in correction at the edge of the image field. The reducer comes with three adapter sleeves and an M54x0.75 mm adapter for the telescope side connection, as well as a T2 camera connection adapter. With a clear aperture of 65 mm, it allows for use with many cameras featuring large sensors without significant vignetting.
