The Theory is an indoor climbing shoe designed for a perfect fit to the shapes of holds and volumes in indoor climbing. Its extreme sensitivity and high dynamics allow for unique adaptability to edges, making it ideal for indoor use. The development of the Theory is based on a study by La Sportiva's R&D department on the gripping behavior of gorillas and the sensitivity of cat paws, combined with insights into the evolution of new climbing routes in gyms characterized by very wide volumes and extremely dynamic movements. This shoe is designed to unleash maximum power and skill while maintaining the highest sensitivity on all types of holds. It features a new construction with exclusive D-Tech™ technology (Dynamic Technology): the sole wraps around the shoe laterally to eliminate side edges, ensuring dynamic stepping and adaptability to the shapes of the most modern indoor holds. The sole is made from a Vibram® XS-Grip2 compound with differentiated thicknesses at the tip to support grip on edges, while the heel with reduced volume allows for maximum precision during heel hooks. The rubber tip covers 90% of the front surface of the shoe to assist with toe hooks while maintaining adaptability to various foot shapes. The entire construction of the shoe facilitates pressure application on the volumes of modern indoor route setting and stability during cross-steps, thanks to its high adaptability.
