The CX302 is the ultimate climbing shoe. Lightweight yet comfortable, it offers secure grip and optimal power transfer. Made with Clarino microfiber, double BOA® Li2 dials, and Lake's handcrafted CFC 3K carbon sole, this cycling shoe weighs an incredible 195 grams (size 44, without the insole).

Form: The shoe features a slightly narrower toe box and a tighter heel area compared to the Competition last, with overall less volume than the Sport last. It is designed for very high cadence pedaling with a slimmer fit. The wide version offers an additional 15 mm of volume in the forefoot area.

Outsole: The 100% carbon fiber Lake Race sole is available with a 3-hole pin pattern. The CX302 utilizes Lake's patented double sole system. The insole is a semi-flexible carbon fiber platform that allows some flexibility in the forefoot area, where the foot tends to swell and where pressure points or numbness would typically occur. The insole floats above the rigid carbon outsole. This system allows for the use of an extremely stiff carbon outsole without sacrificing riding comfort.

Lining: Clarino microfiber and mesh with a medial support panel made of Carbitex for secure hold.

Closure: BOA® Fit System Li2 dials. The Li2 dial is the most advanced platform in cycling, providing a precise and micro-adjustable fit in both directions and designed to withstand abrasion.
