The MX242 is the result of our extensive experience, advanced materials, and shoe manufacturing techniques, providing the best fitting solution for hard-to-fit foot types. It features a thermoformable heel counter and a specially designed upper that allows for adjustments to accommodate cyclists with bunions, deformities, narrow or wide feet, or a high or low instep. The separate panels enable a refined fit, relieving pressure from sensitive and painful areas of the feet.

Shape
The shoe has a wider toe box and a snugger heel than the Comfort last, with an overall volume slightly greater than the Sport last. It is exceptionally secure for intense racing while providing enough space in the toe box to prevent pinching during climbs or carrying sections. Designed for performance and competition.

Outsole
The outsole is made of 100% carbon fibre Lake Competition material, combined with a genuine rubber Mountain Competition outsole that offers extensive protection and ground stability.

Lining
The lining consists of Helcor abrasion-resistant leather, full-grain Ecco leather, and Nufoam, with carbon fibre support panels that help maintain a secure fit while adding stability to the foot. The Helcor abrasion-resistant leather is engineered to be highly durable against rubbing, scuffing, and scratching. The upper is segmented into six independent zones for a highly flexible fit, accommodating both narrow and wide feet as well as high and low insteps. The mouldable heel counter provides additional heel support for a secure fit.

Closure
The shoe features the BOA® Fit System Li2 dials, which offer a precise and micro-adjustable fit in both directions and are designed to withstand abrasion.
