By reducing friction by 23% compared to the first-generation wiper seals, which consisted of two wiper seals, two oil seals, and two retaining rings, the Manitou 34 mm Basse Friction wiper seals enhance the sensitivity of the fork and improve performance in low temperatures. The Manitou 34 mm Basse Friction seals are made up of two wiper/oil seals (dual function) and two foam components.
