The Borea climbing helmet is a new addition to the Petzl helmet family and a lightweight all-rounder. At 295 grams, it reliably protects the head during sport climbing, mountaineering, via ferrata, canyoning and caving. The Borea is a climbing helmet with a hybrid construction, which means that under the hard outer shell, which distributes the impact energy of falling objects, a foam core surrounds the head precisely and absorbs shocks and impacts through deformation. This makes the helmet compact in design, fits well on the head and is very robust. It can be customised using the flexible headband and is slightly lower at the neck. The design, size and headband make it possible to wear the helmet, which was specially designed for women, with long hair tied back in a ponytail. The large side ventilation holes ensure a good helmet climate. In addition to impact protection from above, Petzl has also equipped the Borea with side impact protection (TOP AND SIDE PROTECTION), which offers additional protection for the head, especially in the event of falls and impacts against rocks or ice.
