The Boreo is a lightweight all-rounder. Weighing 300 g in size S/M (330 g in size M/L), it reliably protects your head during sports climbing, mountaineering, via ferrata, canyoning, and caving. Petzl manufactures the climbing helmet using a hybrid construction, which means that beneath the hard outer shell, which distributes the impact energy from falling objects, a foam core snugly fits around the head and absorbs shocks and impacts through deformation. This makes the helmet compact in design, fits well on the head, and is very robust and durable. The flexible headband allows for individual adjustment, and it is slightly lower at the back. The large side ventilation holes ensure good temperature management. In addition to protection from impacts from above, Petzl has also equipped the Boreo with lateral impact protection, providing extra safety for the head, especially in falls and impacts against rocks or ice. And when you're out at night with the helmet on, the clips and a rubber band at the back ensure a secure fit for the headlamp, providing the necessary illuminated all-around visibility at night.
