It is optimized for use with all single ropes with a diameter between 8.9 and 10.5 mm and is suitable for intensive use. The lever mechanism allows for exceptional control of the braking effect when lowering. Users can choose between two belaying modes: top rope or lead climbing. The "top rope belaying" mode and the anti-panic lever enhance comfort while belaying, making the GRIGRI+ particularly well-suited for beginner climbers.
