The thin and very light PASO GUIDE 7.7 mm rope is intended for intensive ice climbing and technical mountaineering. It is equipped with the water-repellent Guide UIAA Dry impregnation, which protects it from moisture and makes it suitable for daily use in extreme conditions.

Guide UIAA Dry finishing is Petzl's most elaborate treatment for frequent use in humid environments. The difference is particularly noticeable in daily use in extreme conditions such as ice climbing and mountaineering. This finishing also improves the rope's resistance to dirt and abrasion. The Guide UIAA Dry impregnation meets the requirements of the UIAA water repellent test, showing a water absorption of less than 2%. The impregnation process is carried out in two steps: first, the rope core is impregnated before braiding, and then the complete rope is treated to significantly reduce water absorption and the penetration of small particles.

EverFlex finishing stabilizes the threads and makes the rope more uniform, ensuring it lies well in the hand and maintains good handling over time. These properties are also achieved with semi-static ropes through a special braid.

Middle Mark marking simplifies rope maneuvers.
