The X-Rap Haku is the Finnish word for seek, and this lure is literally looking for trouble, ready to take on the really big pikes. It is robust and built for big fish. It features Rapala's new 3R Titanium Release Rig System, which is fitted with VMC Coastal Black hooks. The robust rig on the lure is made from 100lb titanium wire and features a solid connecting ring; all parts are heavy duty and tested. When the rig is ready for use, the hooks are positioned just like a normal jerkbait. The rig sits hidden in the bait's belly groove, protecting it from weeds and snags. When the hook is set, the rig comes off the body with the hooks, ensuring direct contact with the fish and preventing the fish from using the bait as a lever to escape. This also makes it easier to remove the hooks from the fish's mouth as the body of the lure is not in the way. The X-Rap Haku can be used for a variety of presentations and is super easy to guide. A smooth glide can be created by either twitching the rod or using the Stop & Go technique. Twitching produces a faster sideways turn, while Stop & Go gives a longer glide. A fast breakout between stops mimics the escape of a baitfish.
