The Wildfire Edge is a shoe designed for technical approaches that can transform from a hiking shoe into a climbing shoe. The Salewa Switchfit system is simple and clever, developed in collaboration with mountain guides and top climbers in the Dolomites: pull the laces at the rear eyelet together and upwards. This pulls your foot forward into the toe cap, compressing the toes as in a climbing shoe. After climbing, you can loosen the laces at the rear eyelet to allow the toe cap to expand, providing greater comfort while hiking.

To enhance climbing precision, the Wildfire Edge is also equipped with an Edging Plate, an insole plate under the forefoot that provides additional stiffness under the toes. The Pomoca Speed MTN sole performs well thanks to the Pomoca Butyl compound, offering improved grip and higher friction in both dry and wet conditions.
