The Drago is rightly a classic among Scarpa's Softline models. It is a relatively soft climbing shoe that excels at friction climbing on volumes while also providing some support for standing on small footholds. The asymmetrical, highly downturned high-end model features a high toe box and is made from a microfiber upper, with leather used in the toe area. It is constructed from seven pieces that are sewn together in a way that perfectly conforms to the foot—without causing pressure points. The midfoot receives some support from the PCB-Tension system while still allowing freedom of movement.

The Drago's midsole is equipped with a Flexan insert in the big toe area, which relieves the foot when standing confidently on small footholds and edges. The only 2 mm thick rubber layer at the heel and the M5 rubber on the toe cap allow for precise heel and toe hook placements.
