In fact, a lot: The "+4" in the name of the Wizard 30+4 refers to the additional volume in liters that can be added to the base volume of 30 liters through a zipper that runs around the backpack. The length of the shoulder straps, and thus the back length, is also adjustable. They can be individually adjusted via a Velcro fastener on the back panel from size S to XL. The mesh ventilation of the daypack works similarly. Depending on the need for ventilation and the desired packing volume, the back panel can be shaped to provide either more ventilation or a closer fit. This makes even a sweaty ascent a breeze. The front pocket of the backpack spans the entire area and offers additional storage space. The available storage space is divided by a separate bottom compartment, allowing for organized gear. However, the daypack can also be used without separation, providing a larger main compartment. The rain cover is conveniently stored in a bottom compartment, but the material is already water-repellent, keeping out a few drops. Thus, the Wizard 30+4 from Vaude is a great companion for hikes, strenuous summit tours, or even in everyday life and on longer trips as a supplement to a travel bag.
