Originally developed for physiotherapy, stretch bands are now also very popular for Pilates and other forms of training.

Stretch Band Information:
Most exercises with the stretch band simulate training on the reformer. The reformer was developed by Joseph Pilates and can be found in every larger Pilates studio. Compared to floor exercises, the reformer allows for much faster improvement in strength endurance and muscle building. The band achieves a comparable training effect. It provides resistance that challenges your increased muscle strength to pull it apart and control the contraction. Therefore, the band is particularly well-suited for strengthening or stretching a specific muscle area.

Choosing the Band:
Initially, use a model that offers only a low level of resistance. If you find that the exercise becomes easier over time, you can switch to a firmer band. The strength of a band can be identified by its color.
