Can you confirm if the plug is 13 pin or 8 pin? I bought this product and the plug had only 8 pins.. is that normal? thank you.

I thought that it had 13 pins but I just checked and saw that it only has 8 pins. However, we have already used it and it seems to work fine. Though it only has 8 pins, there is place for 5 more.
