In-ear headphones for concerts ("electronic hearing protection")
Hello đź‘‹ I recently used https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/jabra-elite-8-active-gen-2-anc-8-h-kabellos-kopfhoerer-46302541 from the headphone range as hearing protection in hear-through mode at a music festival. This is because all conventional hearing protection solutions - plugs and also plugs with a special filter - attenuate high and medium tones too much in some cases and the music sounds anything but nice as a result. The marketing of currentless solutions promises more than is delivered. Good sound quality with really linear attenuation where all frequencies are still audible is very important to me. This worked very well with the Jabra. I could stand directly in front of a speaker without the volume getting noticeably louder. The sound quality was good, no clipping or anything. I was very surprised that it worked so well. However, the headphones are not approved as hearing protection. I noticed this when I left the festival after 8 hours with a slight ringing in my ears. So not a perfect solution. But still better than nothing! Now I'm looking for an even better solution. Do you know of any wireless, electronic (Bluetooth) earbuds that can be used at a music event and are intended as hearing protection? The kind that still deliver good sound quality, just much quieter than the surroundings? If I filter for "concerts" here, I only find the conventional and, in my opinion, useless products.
