Product details
AEG has utilised the advances in technology and automotive engineering to offer you a state-of-the-art car battery charger. In addition to the familiar features, the AEG battery chargers utilise the HF-MCU (High Frequency Micro Control Unit) chip for the first time. This chip makes it possible to charge a car battery with 9 charging stages 20% faster and more gently than comparable competitor products with 9, 10, 11 and more charging stages. Another feature of the AEG LD 4.0 microprocessor charger is the auto-start function, which allows the charger to start automatically when the mains voltage is restored in the event of a power failure and continue the charging process. This ensures continuous charge retention for months. After selecting the connected battery type (6V /12V or 24V LD 8.0), the charger recognises the battery capacity and the battery condition and uses this to calculate the required charging parameters (charging voltage, charging current). This enables efficient and safe charging. If an incorrect battery voltage is set or the battery is faulty, no charging process takes place and the "Error" LED (9) lights up. The microprocessor charger is designed for charging open and a variety of closed batteries, such as those installed in cars, ships, lorries and other vehicles. The AEG LD 4.0 microprocessor charger is suitable for the following battery types: Wet batteries (WET), lead-acid batteries (liquid electrolyte), maintenance-free lead-acid batteries (MF), gel batteries (jelly-like electrolyte) and EFB batteries (Enhanced Flooded Battery), AGM batteries (electrolyte in glass fibre fleece).
