The wall cabinet housing is made of very lightweight acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS), resulting in a weight reduction of about 50% for the same housing size. Despite the lower mass, the Fleet housing series proves to be a robust alternative with an impact resistance of IK08. ABS plastic has a high resistance to alkalis, oils, and salts. Unlike metal cabinets, the Fleet series has the advantage of being resistant to corrosive stresses without requiring additional coating of the housing surface.

Outdoor use requires effective sealing of the electronic components against external influences. The plastic housings of the Fleet series feature a foamed polyurethane (PU) seal. The PUR seal is low-wear and robust against weather and aging effects. The polyurethane remains elastic and resilient even with frequent operation of the cabinet door.
