The proven spark gap technology allows for use in the pre-meter area and fully complies with the VDN guidelines. With a high nominal discharge current, the DEHNshield ZP Basic meets all requirements of the new DIN VDE 0100-534. Additionally, the corresponding lightning current discharge capacity fulfills the normative requirement for the installation of a Type 1 arrester in overhead line feed-ins. The arrester with coordinated protective effect according to Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 also provides equipment protection.
