The DeWalt DCG 405 is an 18 volt battery-powered and brushless angle grinder with a 125 mm diameter. The innovative brushless motor enables higher performance with a longer runtime per battery charge, more compact dimensions and weight savings as well as a generally longer service life of the machine. The windings are armoured with epoxy resin to additionally protect the motor from abrasive dust particles. The optimised ventilation system inside the grinder ensures perfectly adapted cooling of the machine and the electronics, which also contributes to a longer service life. DeWalt's own Perform & Protect system reliably stops the disc in a matter of seconds (<2 seconds) with the electronic brake, thus helping to protect the user. The electronic clutch automatically switches the tool off if it jams, thus also protecting the user and the machine. Both protection systems minimise the risk of kickbacks even more effectively. The protective bonnet supplied can be adjusted with one hand without tools and, together with the side handle also supplied, contributes to the flexible and application-orientated use of the machine. The machine is switched on by a slide switch with safety lever, which guarantees relief for the employee during long jobs.
