Drill grinding machine DBG 832 W / 8 - 30mm

The DBG series drill grinding machine is used for grinding spiral drills made of HSS and carbide. The machine features grinding stations for sharpening the point angle, relief angle, and for cross-grinding operations. It utilizes special CBN or SDC diamond grinding wheels, depending on the drill material.

CBN-coated grinding wheels deliver exceptional sharpening results at very high speeds without overheating. The thermal conductivity of CBN (cubic boron nitride crystals) dissipates the generated friction heat into the wheel, preventing hardening of the cutting edge and resulting in minimal spark formation. CBN has higher thermal stability than diamond and, due to lower wear, is optimal for sharpening HSS tools.

SDC-coated grinding wheels are metal-coated synthetic diamonds designed for sharpening carbide drills.
