The compact, battery-operated motion detector complements the security solution of the Homematic IP system and is also versatile for general lighting control. Note: This is a kit that needs to be assembled! With this, you can use the Homematic IP motion detector both for burglary protection and to automatically control lighting. The integrated twilight sensor ensures that the lighting is only activated in darkness.

The compact PIR motion detector has a range of up to 12 meters and a detection angle of 105°. The thresholds for switching the lighting via Homematic IP are continuously adjustable. When used for lighting control, the duration of illumination after motion detection can be adjusted continuously in the Homematic IP app. You will receive push notifications on your smartphone or tablet as soon as movements are detected (with full protection activated in the Homematic IP app).

The motion detector can be used simultaneously for lighting control and within a security solution with motion detection. It can be flexibly positioned, either with a stand or mounted on a wall, ceiling, or in corners. An integrated tamper contact alerts you via the app as soon as an attempt is made to dismantle the motion detector.

The high battery life due to low power consumption lasts up to 3 years. The wireless range is up to 280 meters (in open field). The motion detector is suitable for use in dry rooms (protection class IP20). Configuration and linking are conveniently done via the Homematic IP app (Homematic IP Access Point required) or Smart Home centers (CCU2/3, radio modules for Raspberry Pi, or partner solutions). Operation requires connection to one of the following solutions: Homematic IP Access Point with a free smartphone app and free cloud service or central CCU2/CCU3 with a local user interface.
