The splinter guard is mounted instead of the viewing window and allows for tear-free cuts to the right of the saw blade. When the machine is running, the installed splinter guard is cut in and thus adapts precisely to the saw blade. The splinter guard can be adjusted in height and is therefore suitable for cuts with and without a guide rail.
