The Fibaro Door/Window Contact 2 in white is a battery-operated, Z-Wave Plus compatible reed sensor. It combines two devices into one easy-to-use product: a reed sensor and a temperature sensor. The sensor can be used to monitor the status (open/closed) of doors, windows, window blinds, or garage doors, for example. Additionally, the integrated temperature sensor measures the temperature at the installation site and reports the value to the Z-Wave hub. The product consists of two elements, one of which is mounted on the movable part of the window or door. The other part is fixed to the frame. The sensor must be included in the Z-Wave network using a remote control or another Z-Wave controller. When an action is detected by the sensor, it sends a signal to the Z-Wave main controller.
