Peperomia, also known as ornamental pepper or dwarf pepper, is a genus of plants in the pepper family. The approximately 1500 to 1700 species of Peperomia are found in almost all tropical regions. This plant comes in a variety of leaf colors: solid green, white-green, yellow-green, red-brown, solid red, or silver-striped. The leaf structures and growth habits are also diverse - ranging from thin to fleshy thick, smooth or wrinkled, and growing upright, creeping flat, or hanging.
