This handy set not only includes four Gardigo vole traps, but also a ground-piercing tool and a probe rod for locating vole tunnels. This means you can get started with rodent control straight away.

The probe, a metal rod with a handle, is inserted into the ground to locate the vole tunnels. Where the rod sinks in quickly at first and then meets resistance, a vole tunnel is highly likely to be running there.

You can then use the earth auger to drill a hole in these areas, into which the tunnel trap fits perfectly. When placing the trap, ensure that the openings face towards the tunnel. The vole can be caught coming from either direction.

If a draught or light enters its tunnel, the vole will burrow up the opening. You must therefore cover the gap between the trap and the ground with leaves. Alternatively, you can simply place a bucket over the trap.

Set the trap by holding it firmly with one hand and simply pulling the handle upwards with the other. You can tell whether the trap has been triggered by the position of the handle, without having to pull the trap out of the ground.
