Note:

Uncoated cast iron is not rustproof; it requires certain treatment and care. Before the first use, you should treat the material with a high-temperature vegetable oil and then properly season it. This creates a protective layer on the cast iron.

Afterward, the cast iron should not be cleaned with dish soap, as this will remove the protective layer and it will need to be reapplied. It is best to clean your cast iron product with a grill brush and then oil it again. If any part of the protective layer has been removed during cleaning, we recommend reseasoning the Dutch Oven.
