Product details

When Helle decided to create a knife with a completely flat grind, the Mandra was the obvious choice. It is small, well-proportioned, and features a blade shape that invites cutting. It fits in your pocket, on your belt, or around your neck, and is always ready when you need to harvest, slice, dice, or cook – the new Mandra FG is the ultimate all-round knife for hikers who enjoy their meal breaks just as much as the hike itself.

While the standard Scandi grind of the Mandra is well-suited for most tasks, the Mandra FG is particularly designed for cutting. Whether you're harvesting mushrooms or chopping on your cutting board, the 12C27 blade of the new Mandra FG ensures that you can cut cleanly and effectively. Although it has the same shape, the handle is slightly thicker than that of the standard Mandra, as the white inlays are thicker. This results in a very balanced blade that allows for extended use.

The Mandra FG comes with a light brown leather sheath with a snap button for secure attachment. The white stitching complements the color of the knife's liner.

The original Mandra was the third knife developed in collaboration with "Survivorman" Les Stroud. The name Mândra means "proud" in Romanian.
