Special Features
The protective jaws have a solid aluminum core or are made entirely of polyurethane (Type PP and Type PR). The profile is rectangular and parallel, ensuring the accuracy of the Heuer vise is maintained. Thanks to the integrated special magnets, the protective jaws adhere securely to the wrought iron vise. Despite the extremely strong magnets, the magnetism does not penetrate the clamping surfaces, preventing any metal shavings from being attracted and ensuring that the clamped workpiece is not magnetized. The jaws are made of aluminum with a hardness between copper and lead. Six horizontal slots hold the workpiece firmly in position. The deeper slot in the center is designed for clamping thin sheet metal, pins, etc.
