The DB 450 lathe features a torsion-resistant gray cast iron bed for high running smoothness and precision. The tailstock and headstock are also made from sturdy gray cast iron. It includes an easily adjustable tool rest. The tailstock comes standard with a live center. The tailstock quill has a bore for processing long workpieces. Speed adjustment is done in 5 stages. There is a viewing window on the pulley for monitoring the selected speed. The V-belt can be easily switched using a tension lever. The gray cast iron tailstock is quickly and easily secured with a clamping lever. The quill adjustment is made using a handwheel.
