Homematic IP dimmer for brand switches

The dimmer is suitable for incandescent lamps, high-voltage halogen lamps, low-voltage halogen lamps with electronic transformers, dimmable energy-saving lamps, and dimmable LEDs. Dimming occurs in 0.5% steps and has a low standby power consumption. It can be installed in standard flush-mounted boxes, and reliable operation begins with a minimum load of 3 VA. The ambient temperature should be between 5 and 35 °C.

The Homematic IP dimmer is suitable for installation in flush-mounted boxes from various manufacturers. It can be controlled via the switch button, the Homematic IP remote control, or the Homematic IP app. A short press on the button turns the dimmer on or off, and a long press allows you to adjust the desired brightness almost continuously. Thanks to various adapters, replacing switches from common manufacturers with an intelligent Homematic IP installation is easy. By using components from existing or planned switch series and wiring, the installation effort is minimized. The design, colors, and surfaces of already installed switch series remain intact, as existing frames and buttons can still be used.
