Installation is straightforward and quick, thanks to the built-in battery that offers a lifespan of 10 years. The smoke detector can be flexibly mounted in almost any desired location. Through the Homematic IP app, you can assign the next-generation smoke detector (HmIP-SWSD-2) to up to eight different groups for targeted use. This allows for the smoke detectors to be networked in individual groups, so that, for example, only bedrooms or only living areas trigger an alarm.

The integrated LED emergency lighting provides additional orientation in case of an emergency, even during a power outage. The smoke detector operates on the optical scattering principle and is particularly reliable and interference-resistant.
