The energy measuring device UMG 96RM-E features Ethernet and RCM, with a supply voltage of 24V to 90V (50/60Hz) and 24V to 90V DC, 150V CAT III voltage measurement, and measurement category 300V CAT III. It includes 3 voltage measurement inputs (L-N: 20V-300V, L-L: 34V-520V, 45Hz-65Hz) and 3+1 current measurement inputs (0 to 5A, response current 5mA).

Measurement capabilities cover three-phase 4-wire systems with earthed neutral conductor up to a maximum of 277V/480V, unearthed three-phase 3-wire systems up to a maximum of 480V, single-phase 3-wire systems up to a maximum of 220V-440V, and single-phase 2-wire systems up to a maximum of 220V.

Additional features include 2 digital outputs, 3 digital inputs/outputs (configurable), and 2 analogue inputs (optionally for temperature or residual current measurement input).
