Tillandsias are highly adaptable plants and can thrive for several years with the right care. They generally do well anywhere, but prefer a bright location. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as excessive heat can cause too much moisture to be lost. A good option is a spot in the bathroom, where the humidity is higher. Naturally, warm and humid terrariums are ideal.

The most important aspect of caring for Tillandsias is providing regular water through misting. It is essential to mimic the humid climate of the rainforest with 90% humidity. In summer, the plants should be misted about twice a week, while in winter, it may be necessary to mist them a bit more due to the drier heating air. Under no circumstances should the plant sit in water, as this can lead to rot. For the same reason, no water should accumulate in the plant.
