For intrinsically safe circuits (type of protection i - intrinsic safety) in accordance with IEC 60079-14:2013, EN 60079-14:2014, and VDE 0165-1:2014, section 16.2.2, in EMC-critical environments (electromagnetic compatibility). Space-saving due to small cable diameters, the braided copper wire shield of ÖLFLEX® EB CY protects signal transmission in intrinsically safe circuits against electromagnetic interference. Can be used outdoors. Fine stranded wire made of bare copper wires, PVC core insulation LAPP P8/1, winding with plastic foil, copper braiding, tinned. Sheath: PVC, sky blue similar to RAL 5015, cores stranded in layers. In accordance with EN 50525-2-51, flame retardant to IEC 60332-1-2, high degree of coverage of the shielding, low coupling resistance (max. 250 Ω/km at 30 MHz), UV and weather resistant in accordance with ISO 4892-2.
