Product details
The DUB187 cordless leaf vacuum and blower is a convenient and practical tool that takes the tedious work out of removing leaves. Thanks to the castors at the end of the suction tube, the machine can be manoeuvred easily and effortlessly. The electronic switch with soft start ensures that the machine starts up smoothly, while the infinitely variable speed is set using a convenient control wheel. The machine can also be set to continuous operation. With a collection bag capacity of 25 litres, you can collect a large quantity of leaves before the bag needs to be emptied. The lockable switch enables continuous operation, while the rubberised handle ensures greater comfort when working. The DUB187 is equipped with deep discharge protection and switches off automatically when the battery is almost empty. The brushless motor is immediately ready for use, works emission-free, is very quiet and virtually maintenance-free. Thanks to Xtreme Protection Technology (XPT), the device is protected against dust and splash water, so you can use it even in adverse autumn weather conditions. The leaf vacuum's integrated metal paddle wheel is particularly practical, as it shreds the vacuumed leaves and significantly reduces the volume. This also promotes the natural decomposition of the leaves. The sensitive throttle lever allows you to precisely control the speed to make the most of the battery runtime. For continuous use, the machine can be locked in continuous operation. Several handles and the shoulder strap supplied ensure comfortable use and easy transport before and after work. With an air volume of 6.1 m3/min and a vacuum of 33 mbar in suction mode and an air volume of 4.2 m3/min and an air speed of 64 m/s in blowing mode, the DUB187 is a powerful and versatile leaf vacuum and blower.

- High blowing power (= 16.2 m/s)
- Great handling, also thanks to the low weight (~ 3.7 kg)
- Battery lacks endurance (= 10:25 min)
- Small volume of the leaf bag (~ 25 litres)
- Relatively high sound pressure level (~ 92.5 dB)
This Makita model is solid all round: while the battery life (= 10:25 min at maximum blowing power) and the charging speed (= 114 min) could certainly be improved, the blowing & suction performance of = 58.3 km/h from = 1 m before the end of the blowing tube made quite an impression. Due to the size of the tube, leaves can also be pulled in very quickly...
Makita surprises with a decent runtime despite the 18-volt battery. The suction and blowing functions are fine. The speed can be infinitely adjusted and, if necessary, fixed so that the hand switch does not have to be constantly pressed. The high-quality charger is also impressive.
