The PlusLink extension must be integrated into one or more PlusLink lines when these are protected by at least two circuit breakers. If a circuit breaker is triggered during maintenance or in case of a fault, the PlusLink extension automatically disconnects the PlusLink line as well. This is necessary because the PlusLink line would remain live through the other circuit breakers.
