Thanks to the patented dust protection, the motor remains protected even in dusty working conditions. For maximum user safety, it features a mechanical disc brake and a dead man's switch. The disc stops within just 2.5 seconds after release, even in the event of a power interruption. Additionally, the angle grinder has an electronic safety shutdown that reduces kickback when the disc is blocked. Thanks to the Metabo VibraTech (MVT) damping system and the integrated auto-balancer, vibrations are effectively reduced, allowing for less tiring work. The main handle is rotatable, and the additional handle can be mounted in three different positions to ensure an optimal grip position. With the Metabo Quick System, you can change the discs without tools thanks to a quick-clamping nut. The protective cover can also be adjusted and securely fixed without tools. Other safety features include a starting current limitation with soft start, which prevents the fuse from tripping at startup, as well as electronic overload protection and restart protection.
