8 Meter Copper Tape for Snail Protection by Neudorff
Self-adhesive copper tape designed to protect flower boxes and raised beds from snails. The snails cannot overcome the barrier as it is unpleasant for them.
Application: Apply the snail protection early to flower boxes before the first snails appear. The snail protection should be applied completely around the boxes without gaps that would allow snails to reach the plants being protected. Measure the required length of the snail protection and add an overlap of about 2 cm. Place the snail protection in the middle area of the container or raised bed. Cut the necessary material from the roll and remove the protective film. Press the snail protection firmly onto the flower boxes to ensure a seamless barrier. The flower boxes must be dry when applying the snail protection. Remove any coarse and loose dirt to ensure the tape adheres well to the surface. Make sure no plants hang over the tape that could serve as a "bridge" for the snails. In case of particularly high pressure from snails in adjacent areas or from existing snails in the flower boxes or raised beds, it is advisable to combat them with Ferramol snail bait. This way, the number of snails can be actively reduced. Ferramol contains an iron compound as its active ingredient, which also occurs naturally. Pets and hedgehogs are spared.
