The OBO generator connection box is a specialized accessory for photovoltaic systems that enables the connection of two strings. It serves as DC protection for the inverter and is equipped with a pluggable varistor surge protector that features a disconnection device in a fault-resistant Y-circuit. The connection box meets the requirements of VDE 0100-712 and offers a low DC protection level of less than 3.0 kV, with a maximum operating voltage of 900 V DC. The polycarbonate housing is designed for outdoor use and provides an IP66 protection rating, making it resistant to UV radiation and weather conditions. The connection box is equipped with five push-in terminals suitable for cable cross-sections of up to 6 mm² and supports a maximum current of 41 A DC per terminal. Additionally, a cable gland set and a pressure equalization element are included to ensure a secure installation.
