Handles made of oak are laser engraved.
Blade length: 8.5 cm
Steel: Modified stainless steel Sandvik 12C27 is used. The addition of chromium makes it corrosion-resistant and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% ensures an excellent cutting edge.
Handle: Our oak comes from France. It is a hard wood, very durable, also resistant to insects and fungi due to its high tannin content. It has a yellow-brown appearance with regular grain.
Safety ring: The Virobloc safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, is fitted to all folding knives from No. 06 onwards. The Virobloc is made of stainless steel and consists of two parts, a fixed and a movable one. In addition to locking the blade (safety during use), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safety during transport).
