The simply constructed Opinel is an absolute classic. Since 1890, its design has hardly changed, and it is still handcrafted in France. The reliable Virobloc system locks the blade in both the open and closed positions. The carbon steel used is extremely hard and guarantees excellent cutting quality, good wear resistance, and easy re-sharpening. The handle is made from durable, hard beech wood sourced from France.
