The Echinocactus grusonii, also known as the Golden Barrel Cactus, is a strikingly beautiful and popular ornamental plant native to Central Mexico. Care: The amount of water the plant needs depends on its location. If the plant is in a sunny spot, it requires more water than if it is in a shady area. Water the plant every two weeks from April to September. During the shorter days from October to March, it should be watered once a month.
