Product details

Protect yourself against carbon monoxide accidents when using fireplaces fueled by gas, oil, wood, or coal (fossil fuels) alongside an exhaust device that is to be operated in the same or a connected room. If fresh air is not supplied simultaneously, for example, through an open window, the exhaust gases from the fireplace can be drawn into the room, filling it and potentially causing severe CO accidents, even leading to death. The toxic carbon monoxide (CO) in the exhaust is odorless, tasteless, and invisible. Inhalation can quickly lead to unconsciousness and subsequently to respiratory failure. Therefore, the legislator mandates an automatically operating safety device that prevents the exhaust system, such as a building fan or exhaust hood, from being activated unless, for example, the window is open. The wireless exhaust control AS-500 accomplishes this task elegantly, as the notification of whether the window is open or closed is transmitted wirelessly. This makes installation particularly easy and can be completed in minutes. Window transmitters with magnetic sensors and wireless battery operation can be placed freely. Wireless range up to 50 m (open field). Coded transmission for interference-free communication, even with neighboring identical systems. LED status indicators. The wireless switch receiver is a quickly installable plug-in switching device with a maximum switching capacity of 1800 W. Delivery includes a calculation table for determining the necessary exhaust volume. Note: This exhaust control does not have DIBt approval (German Institute for Structural Engineering). Please check with your chimney sweep before purchasing whether DIBt approval is mandatory.
