Hello everyone. Is it possible to cut 60cm XPS (extruded polystyrene foam) with this device, or is it not suitable for this? I am looking for a device to cut a large number of 60cm XPS panels during a renovation project.

In my unit, the bracket is slightly bent; in one axis, the wire is therefore not vertical (2mm deviation on the 14cm). The manual says that you should correct this by bending the bracket. Obviously there is nothing you can do by hand. Is this also the case with your devices?

The hot cutter is perfect for polystyrene and rigid foam panels. I have never cut Kappa sheets. It would have to be tried out on a small workpiece. Kind regards Hans Berger

Yes, it works. Just experiment with the wire temperature, because if it's too hot, the cut parts stick together again easily. Great hobby tool for precise cuts.
