The flexible, flame-retardant heat shrink tubing with an internally bonded adhesive layer provides lasting protection against moisture. It can be used in a variety of applications such as electrical wire splices, cable jackets, wire branching, strain reliefs, and protective sleeves for electrical components. The tubing is made from irradiated polyolefin material and features a special adhesive coating on the inner wall that melts when heated and is pressed into the joints of the component. After cooling, the tubing becomes a semi-flexible, highly homogeneous encapsulation material with controlled wall thickness.
