This counting module is part of the Modicon X80 series, a range of common input/output options for Modicon M340 and Modicon M580. This counting module for harsh environments is equipped with 8 high-speed channels. This robust product can be used in harsher environments and in an extended temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. Modicon X80 modules provide a unified environment for the use of I/O modules in automation architectures, reducing costs for spare parts inventory, maintenance, and training. The housing offers IP20 protection for the electronics. This product meets CE, UL, CSA, RCM, and EAC standards and is certified for applications in power generation, the merchant marine, railways, and hazardous areas. This input is compatible with 19.2 V to 30 V 2-wire/3-wire proximity sensors, incremental encoders with push-pull outputs, 10 V to 30 V. The product must be installed in the module carrier and secured with 2 screws.
