This is the Digital Module for Waveform Capture Fault Recording for Micrologic X Circuit Breakers in the MasterPact MTZ. A digital module is an enhanced feature that can be uploaded to the Micrologic X circuit breaker at any stage of the product lifecycle. With digital modules, you can customize the MasterPact MTZ circuit breaker to meet your specific requirements.

The upload of digital modules is done without power interruption using the EcoStruxure Power Commission software and a USB cable. This digital module automatically records 5 cycles of phase and neutral currents, with a sampling period of 512 microseconds in the event of a trip due to LSI or G or optional protective devices. Within the 5 cycles of waveform capture, there are 4 cycles before the trip event and 1 cycle after the trip event.

The recording can be retrieved using a smartphone and the EcoStruxure Power Device in Comtrade format. Additionally, the waveform capture function records the tripping, switching on, and switching off of the circuit breaker, as well as the ZSI out signal. The advantage is the automatic recording of the waveform, which helps to analyze the trip event in detail. At a glance, it allows for the identification of the type and severity of the trip event (with amplitude and duration) and potential damage to the installation.
