The Safety Module for TM2XX 1 FUNCT from Schneider Electric is a highly advanced safety module specifically designed for the expansion of Modicon M221, M241, M251, and M262 PLC controls. It provides a reliable solution for functional safety and is compatible with third-party controls via the Modicon TM3 bus coupler. With two digital safety inputs (24VDC, 100mA) and three parallel digital safety outputs, it allows for the connection of emergency stop switches and other safety-related components. The module achieves a maximum safety level of PLe / Category 4 according to EN/ISO 13849-1 and SIL CL3 according to EN/IEC 62061. The safety-related functions are managed independently of the rest of the system, ensuring high reliability. Projecting and configuring is done through the EcoStruxure Machine Expert software or a standalone configurator. The module is suitable for an ambient temperature range of -10°C to +55°C and can be mounted on a 35mm DIN rail or directly onto a control panel.
