The reporting and control unit is equipped with integrated Modbus and ULP communication for ComPacT NSX circuit breakers. The optional BSCM Modbus SL/ULP module for ComPacT NSX is used for capturing device status messages and controlling the device. It acts as a converter between the analog outputs of the device reporting contacts (OF, SD, SDE) and the digital communication functions. It is required for the communication of status indicators, controls, and measurements. The BSCM is installed inside the circuit breaker behind the front cover. It features an integrated Modbus interface that connects to a Modbus hub to network the Modbus connection. The connection to external Ethernet or Modbus interfaces is made via the NSX cable in ULP mode. The operating voltage of the Modbus SL/ULP module BSCM is 24 VDC.
